Stateline Amateur Radio Services updates for Jun - Aug 2025
First, we would like to thank ALL of our citizens, friends, companies and corporations
that have offered donations to such an important project and cause for all in our service
area!!!
Without donations we simply could not turn our goals into achievements!
I will say I personally believe this is one of the most important tasks and projects
needed in our service area. We have lost to many tower sites, repeaters, emergency
communications, etc.

2025 (June-August) UPDATES
1. Still working with Winnebago County over land for our 200-foot commercial tower
in storage for Winnebago County Master Site. We hope to get closure over this
soon.
2. We have now just recently closed on our Winnebago County back-up site. This
site is already set with a freestanding tower and repeater building, electric
already on site, phone, etc. We are excited to now have our first piece of property
and tower site. We have been doing clean-up work past 3 weeks getting site
ready. After initial clean-up, we will strip tower and reload tower with all antennas
and cables, finish inside and launch tower site #2 with at least 4 repeaters. One
VHF, 2-UHF, and the WRKY475 GMRS repeater.
3. We sincerely appreciate all the donations from all of you in such care over a most
important Emergency Communications/Amateur/GMRS/Public Safety Tower Site
Network project for North Central, Northwestern IL, and Southern WI.
4. We have received a $2000.00 in-kind donation from Jordan Kittinger family in
Byron, IL that pertained to further repeater equipment for our tower and repeater
sites. This was very much needed, and we sincerely thank the Kittinger family for
all their care in this very important project for our area.
5. Once we have the first two tower sites in Winnebago County that will cover
Winnebago/Boone and most of Stephenson and Ogle Counties, we will move
west to Stephenson County area next for 3rd tower site.

We are in need of donations for the following to complete our purchased site as well as
land and install of the Master site tower. If you are a company and/or private citizen
that could accomplish any of the following we certainly would appreciate the donations
and/or also in-kind labor/equipment donations as again, we are a fully nonprofit
501(c)(3) and donations to us are deductible in your taxes that would certainly help both
of us out. Please check with your accountant over this.
